CANTERBURY : Employment Law Update


2022 is well underway and it is more important than ever for employers and business leaders to understand the latest employment law changes and updates. Sara Jamieson (Partner) and Elise O’Halloran (Senior Solicitor) of Tavendale and Partners will be hosting a ‘lunch and learn’ session going over the latest employment law updates and the impacts of these on businesses.

This session will be held at Tavendale and Partners client centre over a light-lunch. Please note, in-person numbers will be limited to allow for social distancing but the event will also be hosted as an online webinar for participants to join in remotely. Select your preferred option at registration.

At this session Sara and Elise will cover:

☑️Vaccine Mandates and Workplace Vaccination Policies – covering off the latest case law and WorkSafe Guidance.

☑️Fair Pay Agreements – breaking down what the new Bill is proposing and what the impact of this will be on businesses.

☑️Holidays Act reform – summary of the key changes on the horizon for 2022/3.

☑️Case Law update – overview of recent employment law cases of interest.

The session will run for 1 hour and there will be some time for Q&A with Sara and Elise afterwards.

Sara Jamieson leads the dispute resolution and employment practice as a Partner at Tavendale and Partners. Sara is a trusted advisor for many employer clients and has appeared in the Employment Relations Authority and Employment Court. Sara is an experienced advocate who started her career as a Crown Prosecutor and has since resolved disputes for clients in a wide range of areas.

Elise O’Halloran works alongside Sara as a Senior Solicitor at Tavendale and Partners, Elise provides a range of advice and advocacy for clients across the full life cycle of employment relations.

Cancellations and Refunds

To receive a full refund cancellations must be received by HRNZ by email to [email protected] two working days before the day of the event.

Cancellations after this time and/or 'no shows' on the day will be payable in full.
