HAWKES BAY BRANCH: Creating a mentoring culture
- Duration: 1 hour
- Region: Hawkes Bay
VIRTUAL EVENT |
Weaving mentoring through your practice and empowering your people to do the same.
Mentoring is ranked as one of the top two ways to accelerate employee learning and performance (APQC Report, 2018). It helps people develop expertise in their fields, develop leadership and communication, and supports people in their careers.
Whatever role you have in your company/organisation, mentoring is a core skill that influences your communication and relationships with colleagues, individual employees, and teams. Creating a mentoring mindset is becoming more of an expectation of leaders, to mentor the next tier of managers and their teams. And you don’t need a formal mentoring programme to be an effective mentor and inculcate a mentoring mindset.
What are the skills and qualities of an effective mentor? And how can you integrate these into your role? Your practice? This session will answer these questions and prompt you to consider how you can develop your mentoring skills and qualities to influence staff morale, empower people to succeed and excel, and contribute to a culture that values inclusion, diversity, and employee well-being.
This event will be held online via Zoom. Links will be sent the day prior.
