You have probably heard of 'Accounting for non Accountants' - well, this is HR for non HR people. While this event is primarily designed for line managers or those for whom HR is only one significant part of their role, group managers who have an overall although indirect responsibility for the HR function would also benefit from this programme. The focus is on the fundamental underlying principles relating to HR and good practice approaches.
HR 101: HR for non HR People is a jargon free introduction for those who have people responsibilities that focuses on the principles underpinning good people practice which they can apply to everyday people management situations in their teams and organisations. This programme addresses aspects of the COVID-19 response as part of the usual core content.
Topics covered in this one day programme include:
- Resourcing (recruitment and selection)
- Learning and Development (training)
- Performance Management (appraisal)
- Legal Compliance and Employment Relations (staying on the right side of NZ Employment Law)
A workbook containing information and exercises will be posted to you. The programme is informed by leading edge research and is constantly being revised and updated.
All personal development events are subject to HRNZ Terms and Conditions.
Registrations close 08:30am Tuesday 13 September (unless sold out) to ensure enough time to courier your coursebook to you. Or you can opt to access the pdf only.
