The programme is based on the HRNZ competencies and examines each practical HR area within the 'HR Delivery' competency. Participants are provided with foundational information on the major HR functions, learn to identify current good practice, and are encouraged to share their own experiences and to learn from others.

Topics covered in the three day programme include:

  • Resourcing
  • Learning and Development
  • Performance Management
  • Change Management
  • Organisational Development
  • Legal Compliance and Employment Relations
  • Remuneration and Reward
  • Cultural Awareness and Diversity Management
  • Health, Safety and Wellbeing
  • HR Measurement and Policy Development

A workbook containing information and exercises is provided. The programme is informed by current research and is frequently revised and updated.

“The structure of this course was incredible helpful. It was a great mix of talking over the important information and discussion based learning. The true facilitator did an incredible job that had everyone comfortable sharing their experiences with the group. I learned so much that I can practically take back to my organisation. I loved the integration of a bicultural perspective throughout.” Jess, People, Culture and Capability Coordinator
