Shifting the Dial on Workplace Culture
Evidence suggests the persistence of bullying and harassment issues in our workplaces is still a prevalent issue for HR Professionals. And it seems, we still have a way to go in terms of our management of them as a profession. With so much change in our workplace culture since the pandemic began, it’s timely to shed a light on what other contributing factors are, and where we can look to provide support to each other as a larger profession both in terms of our roles as mediators and as role models for positive workplace behaviour.
Our 11th HR Virtual Summit, in partnership with Jemini, aims to support members through the challenges of managing bullying and harassment and assist in finding robust solutions for all parties, and ultimately help to shift the dial on workplace culture.
Do join us in the conversation.
Managing issues and complaints relating to Bullying and Harassment are unfortunately still a common occurrence for HR professionals in Aotearoa. In a recent member survey, over 350 members gave us feedback about the prevalence of bullying and harassment in their workplaces; what the key issues are; what their main concerns are when dealing with claims of workplace bullying and harassment.
More than 70% of responses experienced isolated bullying & harassment incidents in the workplaces, roughly 10% experienced cases on a regular basis.
According to our members, the most three difficult aspects of dealing with complaints of workplace bullying and harassment are:
1. Having employees coming forward when they experience bullying/ harassment (51%)
2. Finding solutions that successfully resolve the problem (50%)
3. Assessing the validity of claims (38%)
From 9.00am – 2.30pm our Summit will bring you some awesome stories, case studies and learnings around how organisations have managed to shift the dial on workplace culture, covering the main pain points outlined above and more.
