OTAGO BRANCH | VIRTUAL: A Master Class in Personal Branding

About our Presenters

Leanne Ross (Otago Polytechnic)

Focused predominantly on brand building and “selling” of some kind – from Not-for-Profits to Hollywood movies – as the world hurtled into the digital age. But her own journey with personal branding yields the most lessons; from setting up an industry blog in 2013, Leanne built a reputation for herself as an industry expert (despite being in her 20s). Creating her own opportunities using mostly online channels led to invitations to guest lecture, conference appearances and, eventually, high level job head hunt offers. Two years later, Leanne would self-publish a book that became an Amazon best-seller in her industry, launching a consultancy career that enabled her to move to the other side of the world with a strong CV to kick-start networking from the ground up yet again in her 30s.

Dean Delaney (Platinum Recruitment)

Dean Delaney is the Relationship Manager and Director at Platinum Recruitment; having a career spanning more years than he cares to remember; he has held various roles within relationship management roles across multiple sectors his whole career. Dean has a passion around Diversity, Inclusion and Equity and is a strong advocate in challenge organisations to understand their current capabilities & identify areas to improve, and truly understand what good looks like within Diversity, Inclusion and Equity.
