The Taranaki Human Resources Branch Committee is delighted to be holding a session around the Employee Value Proposition.
Now more than ever employers must understand what makes their employees feel valued. Standing out from the crowd to attract the best talent is critical when hiring, and retaining new talent. Developing an Employee Value Proposition (EVP) can include many things beyond remuneration e.g. career opportunities, leave types, flexible working, culture, work environment, connection, etc.. One size definitely doesn’t fit all – so what will work best for your business?
In this roundtable discussion we’ll learn from Fonterra and Powerco on what they learnt in their journey of developing an EVP. Listen to how an EVP can help your team attract the best talent and stay competitive – plenty of opportunity for your questions too!
Virtual attendance option for this event is available - Please select the suitable virtual ticket type when registering. The joining link will be sent out 48 hours prior to the event date by Taranaki Branch.
About our Presenters
Leile Sims is a recovering employment lawyer who is relieved to have been living the HR life for about 15 years now. Before working at Powerco, Leile was at Chapman Tripp, EMA, and then at Fonterra ultimately as a regional HR Manager for the Lower and Central North Island manufacturing sites running the HRBP team responsible for about 3,000 employees. Leile is enjoying the transition from manufacturing to utilities within a much smaller organisation and the different challenges that brings.
Kerin Roberts is a business-focused People & Culture Generalist who has worked mainly in manufacturing but also Services, Not for Profit, and Government Organisations as a Manager, Partner, Consultant, and Leader. Has successfully led a number of major change projects. He has worked in organisations which include Fletcher Wood Panels, Kiwi Co-Op Dairies, Tegel Foods, EMA, Te Taiwhenua o Heretaunga, Sanitarium, Employsure, and Fonterra. He is a Chartered Fellow of Human Resource New Zealand.
We’ll also hear from Jeanette Kehoe-Perkinson ‘JKP’ from Ph.Creative – an international company that specialises in Employer Brands – “Your EVP forms the backbone of your Employer Brand. It is what will attract the right talent to your organisation by giving a 360-degree view of what it’s like to work there. A great EVP should honestly describe the demands, challenges, weaknesses and struggles that employees might face. If you only accentuate the positives about your organisation, without authentically reflecting the reality, you won’t attract and retain the right people”.
