Many are trying to figure out what does the red traffic light actually mean for me?

With the red traffic light system in place and Omicron, the way we live and work is becoming more and more fluid.

Any of these sound familiar?

  • How long can this go on for?
  • Just when I think I know how to deal with this – we have something else
  • Feeling exhausted
  • Sudden moments of feeling overwhelmed
  • Changes in appetite, diet and sleeping patterns

If you want some tips and tricks to support coping with the ongoing Pandemic join me for this webinar which will draw upon up to date theory and research in this area. It will explore:

  • The Pandemic Flux Syndrome
  • How to create habits and practises to support
  • The crucial Covid lessons to consider
  • Safeguarding our wellbeing

This webinar will not be recorded in order to encourage an open and interactive session.

Facilitated by Samantha Patel

Kia ora, my name is Samantha Patel (she/her) and I’ve been working as a Psychologist for around 20 years. I was trained in the UK and initially worked as a Chartered Forensic Psychologist in HM Prison Service and later for a London Youth Offending Team. With the support of Ara Poutama Aotearoa (the Department of Corrections) I made the move to New Zealand 14 years ago. My career to date has involved working across public and private sectors in a range of practitioner focused and leadership roles (UK, Australia and Aotearoa) and from this I subsequently developed an interest in Organisational Psychology. I also provide risk assessments for the Court and have been called as an Expert Witness.

In 2017 I became a Chartered Member of the Institute of Organisational Psychology (IOP) and have since been self-employed. As a consultant, coach and trainer my areas of specialism include: - leadership, capability, and diversity, equity and inclusion. On a part time basis, I also worked at Massey University, initially leading the Criminal Psychology Paper and later as a Senior Professional Clinician within the Post Graduate Diploma Psychologist Registration Programme. The latter role involved the selection, assessment, supervision and support of interns.

As a registered Psychologist I apply contemporary psychological principles to my work and adopt a strengths, values-based approach. For 2021, I am consciously choosing to focus full time on my business with the aim of supporting Anti-Racism journeys aimed at creating equity in our communities.
