Is it just me thinking how have we suddenly got to the beginning of 2022?

With the traffic light system in place and Omicron at our borders, the way we work will look and feel different.

Any of these sound familiar?

  • I wish I knew who was vaccinated
  • I wonder if some people have had their Boosters already
  • I hope changes in working practises aren’t too onerous
  • I can’t be bothered with workplace small talk
  • I would much rather not have to wear work clothes everyday
  • Feeling out of practise with socialising
  • I wonder what the acceptable form of greetings is now?

If you want some tips and tricks to support the return to work for you and your team/s, join me for this webinar which will draw upon up to date theory and research in this area. It will explore:

  • Ensuring this ‘fresh start’ is maximised
  • How to reset or create new habits and practises
  • The crucial lessons from Covid that we can apply to our return to face to face working
  • Safeguarding our wellbeing

This webinar will not be recorded in order to encourage an open and interactive session.

Facilitated by Samantha Patel

Kia ora, my name is Samantha Patel (she/her) and I’ve been working as a Psychologist for around 20 years. I was trained in the UK and initially worked as a Chartered Forensic Psychologist in HM Prison Service and later for a London Youth Offending Team. With the support of Ara Poutama Aotearoa (the Department of Corrections) I made the move to New Zealand 14 years ago. My career to date has involved working across public and private sectors in a range of practitioner focused and leadership roles (UK, Australia and Aotearoa) and from this I subsequently developed an interest in Organisational Psychology. I also provide risk assessments for the Court and have been called as an Expert Witness.

In 2017 I became a Chartered Member of the Institute of Organisational Psychology (IOP) and have since been self-employed. As a consultant, coach and trainer my areas of specialism include: - leadership, capability, and diversity, equity and inclusion. On a part time basis, I also worked at Massey University, initially leading the Criminal Psychology Paper and later as a Senior Professional Clinician within the Post Graduate Diploma Psychologist Registration Programme. The latter role involved the selection, assessment, supervision and support of interns.

As a registered Psychologist I apply contemporary psychological principles to my work and adopt a strengths, values-based approach. For 2021, I am consciously choosing to focus full time on my business with the aim of supporting Anti-Racism journeys aimed at creating equity in our communities.
