This webinar will cover the Employment Relations (Triangular Employment) Amendment Act, which came into force in 2020. That allows employees to raise a personal grievance against not only their employer, but also any “controlling third party” who has control or direction over the employee’s work. Secondment arrangements may be impacted, as well as organisations who engage temporary workers/contractors from labour hire companies (as well as the labour hire company itself).

Participants will gain an understanding of the key issues and risks, and potential strategies for dealing with those.

Frances Lear is a Partner at McBride Davenport James with almost 20 years’ experience in employment law, acting for employers (public and private sector), unions and employees. Frances has also worked in two other law firms and worked in-house at two public sector organisations.

Alec Nash is a solicitor at McBride Davenport James. Prior to joining the firm in 2022, Alec worked for a barrister specialising in employment law, and a law firm where he assisted clients on a range of civil and commercial matters.

An appropriate substitute participant is welcome any time before the webinar starts. Please let us know the replacement's name. If you have booked on a member price and a non member is to attend in your place you will be invoiced for the difference in price.

A refund of fees will be made if a cancellation is received in writing at least 10 working days prior to the commencement of the webinar.

Regrettably, no refunds can be made for cancellations received after this date and you are liable for the full cost of attendance at the webinar.
