In this high energy presentation, Bridget will get you up to speed and connected with the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) - the largest globally recognised framework for sustainability. From understanding where sustainable development started to unpacking the 169 targets to learning how we’re tracking as a nation; Bridget will share her SDG knowledge and insights, giving you the opportunity to weave them through your organisation with an HR lens. To brainstorm ideas and anchor the learning, each attendee will also receive a fun SDG pack filled with creative activities and exercises that the whole whānau can enjoy post workshop.

Participants will:

  • Gain a more thorough understanding of the SDGs
  • Learn how they can weave the SDGs through their organisation, making specific reference to the SDGs that impact the HR sector
  • Learn how to measure the SDGs
  • Understand how we’re tracking as a nation towards the SDGs
  • See examples of organisations aligning to the SDGs
  • Understand why the time to align to the goals is now!

Participates will also come away with an SDG resource pack which includes an information booklet, targets table and an activity booklet, proving fun and creative exercises to brainstorm ways to action the SDGs and to help you connect with the top 5 goals you care about personally.

In 2018, Bridget Williams took off her High Court Gown and put on a necklace, thus Bead and Proceed was born. Bead and Proceed is a social enterprise which exists to educate Aotearoa and beyond on the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and inspire action towards them through creativity. Her passion for sustainability and using creativity as a tool for innovation has made her a recognised SDGs expert, assisting businesses and organisations with SDG strategic alignment and target reporting. She employs these skills to help businesses make authentic sustainable change and is renowned for her energy and enthusiasm, ensuing all staff and clients are taken on an SDG journey. As a former solicitor, Bridget thrives solving complex problems and practicing effective leadership in her governance roles. This includes being Chair of the Fendalton/Waimairi/Harewood Community Board, member of the Asia New Zealand Foundation Leadership Network and member of the World Economic Forum Global Shapers Christchurch Hub. In addition to Bridget being a finalist for the Impact Awards and Sustainable Business Awards, her efforts towards the SDGs have also been recognised and endorsed by the Rt. Hon. Helen Clark and the JCI Osaka Outstanding Young Person’s Programme.

Cancellation Policy

An appropriate substitute participant is welcome any time before the webinar starts. Please let us know the replacement's name. If you have booked on a member price and a non member is to attend in your place you will be invoiced for the difference in price.

A refund of fees will be made if a cancellation is received in writing at least 10 working days prior to the commencement of the webinar.

Regrettably, no refunds can be made for cancellations received after this date and you are liable for the full cost of attendance at the webinar.
