AUCKLAND: POSTPONED: IO Psychology SIG: Open Plan Workspaces

One undeniable characteristic of open-plan offices is the increased exposure and access to others they offer. This is sometimes deemed a benefit – it increases opportunities to learn from, and network with, high-status or more experienced colleagues. But is being more visible good for everyone?

Rachel will discuss the gendered experiences of workers in open-plan spaces. Offering insights and providing recommendations to address some of the many tensions that exist in modern learning and work environments.
