AUCKLAND BRANCH: Future of the Workforce – Is It Remote Working?
- Duration: 1 hour
- Region: Auckland
Join Daniel Erickson, Partner, Douglas Erickson, Kim Culpan, Head - Organisational Development, Chorus as they discuss the future workforce
The COVID19 lockdown has meant a significant shift from traditional working arrangements towards flexible working, including working from home.
Since then, we have seen many companies consider non-standard working weeks and remote working as a permanent change.
In this seminar, our presenters will discuss benefits and pitfalls of flexible working arrangements. They will look at the employment law and HR considerations, including:
- •How to set up the arrangements – setting the expectations from the start
- •How to manage remotely and stay connected
- •What are the legal obligations? How do you make sure staff are working safely
- •How can you keep track of employee productivity and performance?
- •What happens when things are not going well? When to discipline or performance manage
- •Making sure you look after employee wellbeing
Our presenters will provide you with examples to help you with:
- •having quality conversations with your staff;
- •your documentation – clauses and policies to consider.
Kim will also provide a case study from Chorus: As the telecommunications infrastructure provider for much of NZ, Chorus played a key role in supporting many of us to work and learn from home. What did that mean for their 800+ employees and what are they doing now to leverage the learnings from lock down. Hear about the work the People & Culture team at Chorus are leading to reimagine their future of work.
