Fiona Grayson | General Manager – People and Culture, Delta Utility Services
Fiona is 52 years young with a personal mission to call out nonsense and weasel words, and to stop gaslighting whenever she witnesses it.
General Manager of People and Culture for Delta Utility Service, senior leadership roles for over a decade. Fiona has numerous careers, starting out her career as a 16 year old in Food and Beverage Management where her only bosses were male; A Global Risk Manager for PriceWaterHouse Coopers, London, where her only bosses were male. As an HR Professional Fiona has only had one female boss in her HR career. With so few female role models in her own career Fiona is passionate about ensuring that the women coming up behind her see women in front of them, knowing that it is possible for women to bridge the gap between management and executive leadership roles.
Fiona has two Master’s degrees. Her first Master’s degree is in Sociology where she focused on the paradoxes and inequalities of men and women in sport; her second Master’s degree was in People and Employment where she focused on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the workplace, and the myths of part-time and flexible work for women executives.
Fiona ran and operated her own start up Café and Catering business in Auckland where she won local and national awards. She is also the author of a book called A Journey into the Remarkable.
