James McIlvena | Managing Director, LHH Australia and New Zealand
I am a father to Zoe, a husband to Nicole and when I'm not spending time with the family, I am an avid surfer and snowboarder who is also passionate about using my time to help build better careers, better leaders and better businesses. I am the MD of LHH Australia and New Zealand and the Executive Sponsor of LHH partnerships with large customers.
My specific strength is in developing solutions to complex problems and addressing these through mobilising and managing talented people. Currently I am responsible for connecting the best of globally available LHH solutions to be delivered for customers locally, whether that is;
• to reveal an individual’s career potential through expert assessments
• support people to reach their full career potential through targeted development programs
• helping organisations see their workforce as renewable vs replaceable and giving them the tools to make this happen
• supporting individuals when the time comes to transition out of their organisation and into something else.
Prior to LHH, I gained extensive experience of in-house recruitment and RPO models across a wide range of industries and ASX100 companies. During those glorious Uni years, (well that's how I remember them) I achieved a degree qualification in Psychology/Psychophysiology and later a Post Graduate qualification in Human Resources and Industrial Relations.
