Rob Fyfe, CNZM - Board Chair and Business Leader
Rob Fyfe is most notably recognisable to many as the former CEO of Air New Zealand. During his time there, he guided the airline through major business and cultural changes and was at the helm to oversee the organisation’s intensive growth.
Rob is currently a Director of Air Canada, Michael Hill International and Antarctica New Zealand. In addition, Rob has been strategic advisor to the Minister responsible for the Pike River Mine re-entry, a strategic advisor to Craggy Range Wines and the New Zealand business representative to The Bali Government and Business forum on Human Trafficking and Modern-Day Slavery.
Rob is currently Business Advisor to the Prime Minister on New Zealand’s Covid recovery plan and is a member of New Zealand’s COVID-19 Independent Continuous Review, Improvement and Advice group which provides independent advice on the management and strategic direction of New Zealand’s Covid-19 response.
We are privileged to have Rob join us today to open our Annual Summit, and to share his valuable insights into how local and international Governments and businesses alike are navigating the shift from responding to the global pandemic to living with COVID as endemic in our business and society.
Today, we will hear Rob share his thoughts with us as to what we might expect over the next 12-18months in business, based on the learnings abroad, and where the HR profession needs to be positioning itself to enable their organisation’s leaders and workforces to effectively navigate the new normal.
