Ngā mōhiohio e pā hānga ki tēnei mahi (About this position)

In this position you will be a brand ambassador for Nelson Marlborough Health careers promoting the apprenticeship programme to school leavers, university graduates and people looking for a change of direction. You will organise careers fairs, open days and liaise with school/tertiary careers staff across the district. You will manage the Apprenticeship programme, including interviewing and placing people into the right role. You will work with Nelson Marlborough Health staff to promote new roles both face-to-face and through social media, coming up with new ideas, initiatives and projects to encourage people to consider a career in the health sector.

Ko wai he kaitono tōtika? (Who is an appropriate applicant?)

You will have strong interpersonal skills, an outgoing personality and strong organisational know-how. You will need the ability to engage with people in a public setting and talk to them about health careers. Your day to day will include a high level of interaction with the public, schools, HR colleagues, managers and other organisations. This means your relationship building skills and your ability to work with people will come to the fore. You may already have recruitment and/or HR experience or you may have a strong knowledge of the school/tertiary education system. Experience in the health sector will be highly beneficial but not essential.
