Te Whatu Ora Health New Zealand (Nelson Marlborough) formerly NMDHB is looking for an enthusiastic HR champion to work on our Holidays Act Compliance project on a fixed-term basis until December 2024.

The Holidays Act Compliance Project team has been brought together to rectify identified areas of non-compliance with the Holiday Act 2003. This is part of a national programme of work. The team is tasked with reviewing current policy, practice and processes and redesigning where necessary to meet legislative compliance.

This position will work with the HR Business Partner and other members of the Holidays Act Compliance team to identify, recommend and implement internal HR processes, so that our internal business processes and payroll system comply with the Holidays Act.

This fixed-term role will be based in our Richmond office on Oxford Street (Richmond, Nelson). Ideally, we are looking for someone to work 80 hours a fortnight (1.0 FTE) Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm. However, if you are looking for a part-time role, we would also consider 64 hours a fortnight (0.8 FTE).

We are looking for an enthusiastic experienced HR practitioner who can confidently work with key stakeholders to review, update and implement best practice end to end HR processes.

You will be ready to jump into a stimulating role and support our project team and managers to deliver exceptional health care. We operate in a challenging and ever changing environment so we are looking for a positive person with a can-do attitude and a sense of humour.

The successful candidate must be eligible to work in New Zealand or hold a valid NZ work visa at the time of applying.

Te Whatu Ora staff must have completed their primary course of two NZ approved Covid-19 vaccinations.
