The Hato Hone St John People Experience team are committed to delivering outstanding experiences through collaboration, continuous improvement, and technology and process enhancements. To deliver strong recruitment leadership and business partnering to our Community Health and Engagement Team, we've created a brand-new Team Leader role. 

Reporting to the Recruitment Experience Manager, this role will be responsible for:

  • Delivering a business partnering approach to Senior Leaders within our Community Health & Engagement directorate,
  • managing and mentoring our small but mighty recruitment team that support our Community Health and Engagement portfolio;
  • leading recruitment related projects and initiatives, and change occurring within this portfolio,
  • recruiting senior and governance positions; and,
  • keeping abreast of market trends and applying a continuous improvement approach to how the team operates. 

We're looking for someone with a strong background in Recruitment Leadership who can bring fresh approaches to attracting and engaging talent, including passive applicants. You'll have proven experience in managing a recruitment team with a diverse portfolio, leading key projects, continuous improvement of processes and ways of working, and business partnering at all levels up to and including Executive team members. A qualification in HR or related discipline is desirable, but more important will be your ability and experience in applying knowledge of NZ employment law in pragmatic, 'best practice' and 'best fit' approaches and advice, specifically in relation to recruitment.
