Senior HR Advisor - Civil Aviation Authority

About the role

The Senior HR Advisor will be the first point of contact for local management and staff to provide Human Resources advice and support. They are responsible for ensuring a high level of service and support is provided through advising, coaching and appropriate tools and processes. They will work proactively to ensure managers understand and are able to deliver their people management accountabilities effectively.

This is a permanent role, based at Wellington Airport and the salary range is $108,171-$127,259, depending on your skills and experience.

What we are looking for

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in human resources
  • Tertiary qualification with emphasis in human resource management and/or employee relations and/or organisational psychology
  • Relationships and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and confident in decision-making
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Customer oriented with the ability to coach and guide the managers
  • Pragmatic, flexible and adaptable

The Civil Aviation Authority National Office is usually located in modern offices opposite the Wellington railway station. As a result of remedial earthquake strengthening work that needs to take place, our National office staff are currently working remotely and in temporary offices in central Wellington.
