HRNZ Board Election Results

The Human Resources Institute of New Zealand (HRNZ) hereby announce the result of the 2020 Board Election. The successful candidate is Maeve Neilson CMHRINZ. Congratulations to Maeve. Thank you for your commitment to supporting the future success of HRNZ.

Maeve Neilson (read her profile) shared her future vision for HRNZ upon her appointment… “My vision for the future is to see HRNZ continue to be the go to organisation for HR expertise and professionalism. For me this includes the active promotion and drive for chartered membership and local branch activities.  Our branch networks and Professional Development programs are a vital part of ensuring our HR communities are connected, engaged and constantly developing.”

Maeve added… “I’d like to see us stay ahead of the game, linking our members into thought provoking economic, strategic and environmental developments globally and locally.  These developments will have an impact on how we attract, grow and retain talent, through to how we enable our organisations to deliver to their best through their people capability.  To me this is particularly important now as we come to understand a new “normal”, working with organisations across Aotearoa to “reset” in challenging times.”

We acknowledge the efforts of those who participated in the election process. A special note of thanks to Matt Carter CMHRINZ for his hard work and service as a HRNZ Board Member over the past three years. Matt Carter reflected… “It has been a privilege to serve as a HRNZ board member for the past three years.  Highlights during that time for me have been the rebrand and strategy alignment alongside the website and systems upgrade and re-establishment of strong connections with our branches and Members. HRNZ has a really solid foundation and fantastic people – I wish HRNZ every success in supporting and developing HR people and our profession.”
