This opportunity to join the Payroll team at Nelson Marlborough Health, on a fixed-term basis, is guaranteed to extend your payroll skills. We are keen to receive expressions of interest from people available to work on a part-time or full-time basis through until the end of June 2022.

Our payroll team is responsible for end-to-end processing payroll for almost 3,000 Nelson Marlborough Health employees geographically spread from Murchison to Blenheim. We have a fully integrated roster to pay system to assist us with such a large and complex payroll service.

Our key focus is provide a quality payroll service to our fellow colleagues. We strive for excellence in everything we do and are always open to new ideas on how to improve our service.

Ko wai he kaitono tōtika? (Who is an appropriate applicant?)

To succeed in this role you will have an interest in rostering and working with Payroll/HRIS applications.

It would be advantageous if you had knowledge of NZ Payroll related legislation, experience with roster to pay systems and experience with using AMS Software (LEADER, ACTOR, SQL). However, this is not essential as training could be provided to the right candidate who has a strong administration background and is keen to develop their career in payroll.

We are looking for applicants who have:

  • strong administration skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • proven ability to work self-directed within a small team
  • excellent written and oral communication skills
  • demonstrated ability to engage with and develop employees skills around the use of new technology, when working with wide ranging levels of IT competency
  • proven ability to foster collaboration with stakeholders.

For the health and safety of both staff and patients, and in line with the Health Order, all NMH staff are required to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19.
