About the role:

The People & Capability Coordinator is essential to the success of our People & Capability team. No two days are the same in this fast-paced and varied role. You will be providing crucial support to the business across all aspects of the employee life cycle, including:

  • Providing frontline HR advice to managers, including advising on employment legislation and internal policies
  • Preparing employment agreements, variations, secondments and other HR administration duties
  • Coordinating onboarding and offboarding for all employees
  • Preparing monthly reports on behalf of the P&C team
  • Supporting recruitment processes for the Veterinary division
  • Assisting the People & Capability Advisor with employment relations situations

You will be joining the People & Capability team during an exciting time of digital transformation, where you will also be responsible for assisting with the implementation of a new HRIS!

About you:

You’re a friendly and engaging HR Coordinator, or an HR Administrator looking for the next step in your career. You’ll also enjoy working as part of a team, building rapport with others, and be an effective communicator with great attention to detail.

Our ideal candidate should also have:

  • HR administration experience, or experience in a generalist HR role
  • Sound knowledge of NZ employment legislation
  • An intermediate/advanced skillset in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience working with an HR system is preferable, with the ability to pick up new technology and systems quickly
  • A friendly and positive disposition, with excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • A formal qualification in Human Resources
  • And a love of animals!
