People & Capability Manager - AWS Legal

About the role
With offices in Invercargill, Winton, Queenstown and Alexandrea the People & Capability Manager will play a key part in ensuring the Firm is able to achieve its vision and values through the implementation of innovative people practices.
Reporting into the CEO, the People & Capability Manager will be responsible for providing both strategic and operational HR support to the business. This role is a true generalist position and will provide support across all aspects of HR. Key projects and focuses will include retention, development, change management, building the culture as well as health, safety and wellbeing.
We are looking for an individual who has:
- 5+ years generalist HR experience, with strengths in change management, as well as creating & implementing people initiatives & approaches, development and health, safety and wellbeing.
- Strategic thinker, with excellent communication skills used to influence and get buy in from key stakeholders both internally and externally.
- Ability to operate at both a strategic and operational level – you are comfortable rolling up your sleeves with no task too big or small
- Have a passion for people and the drive and desire to make a real difference.
