Recruitment Advisor/Specialist - Transdev Wellington

Our P&C Team is on the hunt for a Recruitment Advisor/Specialist to help with sourcing and placing candidates for our operational roles including drivers, on board staff and operational support staff.

This is a fixed term opportunity for an experienced or developing HR Coordinator or Recruiter to join our People & Culture team at Transdev Wellington late Dec/early Jan for the first half of 2022.

Who we are:

We operate Wellington's passenger rail services on behalf of Metlink for our client Greater Wellington Regional Council.

What the role involves – finding great people

This role will take care of the end to end hiring of people our operation, while providing an outstanding experience to both internal and external candidates.

This is an internal recruitment role so you will be focused on ensuring great people join our Whanau.  You will actively support our strong passion for diversity and opportunity.

What you will do:

  • Providing TDW with end to end Recruitment the operational business including:
  • Sourcing and screening candidates through our ATS and talent pool as well as proactively sourcing and managing potential candidates
  • Managing advertisements
  • Running a range of assessments activities
  • Arranging and attending interviews
  • Working with our P&C advisors and Training Team to generate offers and initiate induction and onboarding
  • Recruitment/ HR reporting
  • Providing timely advice to Manager and Team Leaders
  • Providing suitable feedback to successful and unsuccessful candidates

You will have:

  • 2+ years of experience in Recruitment / HR Coordination / or new HR Graduate
  • Demonstrable experience in candidate sourcing and attraction
  • Research and systems skills applied across a variety of online platforms and databases
  • Working knowledge of a recruitment ATS
  • A candidate focused approach to how you manage relationships
  • Strong focus on delivering the very best experience for your candidates
  • To be highly organised and structured in the way you approach your work

This role is predominantly based at our Support Office in Thorndon with some work at the Wellington Railway Station and across our network. Start date is 25 January 2022.
