The Rangitikei District Council is a small and vital team who pride themselves on caring about each other, their work, and their community.  Working in this team provides excellent challenges and rewards and the region has a breadth of environmental and community service responsibilities across it's rural landscape.


Reporting to the Group Manager, this role has a particular focus on creating an HR framework from recently developed policies and processes and implementing it in the business.


It's a brilliant opportunity to add true value to your cv as an HR practitioner who has likely had one or two HR roles to date in your career.


You'll add value into the organisation with existing skills in;

  • generalist HR advisory work
  • remuneration reviews
  • training needs analysis
  • people development
  • the collection and analysis of HR metrics
  • and your understanding of the NZ HR legislative environment.


In addition, mentoring of your direct report - the HR Advisor - Projects, sits within this role's remit.
