This new position is key to significant change that is anticipated in delivery of health services for the future. Evolving models of care are the impetus for this change. This role will be instrumental in charting a course for how jobs, teams and ways of working will develop in the coming years.
Reporting to the GM People and Capability, you will lead workforce planning, with a focus on DHB’s models of care initiatives. You will develop a plan that identifies the current workforce, the impact of the models of care initiatives and workforce of the future required to enable these initiatives. This planning will need to have regard for the wider context of the workforce needs, trends and challenges facing the DHB and the health sector generally.

We are looking for someone with a passion for workforce planning, who wants to partner with the business to grow organisational capability. You may have broader HR or OD experience, or be a planning and operations professional. An ability to understand the people impacts of change is essential to this role, as is an ability to analyse, create plans and support implementation.
