Human Resources Manager - Cold Storage Nelson (20-25 hours/week)

Cold Storage Nelson has been operating for over 40 years with considerable success developing a sound position in the export sector with strengths in inventory control, compliance and traceability.   The Company employs over 100 staff as well as a pool of contractors and operates from 5 sites at Nelson, Richmond, Christchurch, and two sites in Tauranga with a head office in Richmond.  A strong set of company values underpins everything they do.   

Reporting to the CEO, this new role of HR Manager will be responsible for all things HR – from strategic to operational.  The role will work closely with Branch Managers to ensure they are well equipped to manage their teams and encompassing culture development, staff engagement, recruitment and induction, training and development, succession planning, reward and recognition.  While the role covers all aspects of HR, the emphasis is on growing and leading positive people processes to build a great place to work that inspires and supports outstanding performance and teamwork. 

Ideally you will have been in an HR management or an advisory role with an appropriate qualification and have extensive generalist experience across the key deliverables.  You will have a positive and proactive approach, be an excellent communicator with strong time management and organisational skills.  Experience in an operational environment is an advantage.
