Come along to an informative panel discussion about topical talent and attraction matters specific to our Taranaki Region.
The panel will be filled with a range of experts including:

  • Venture Taranaki’s Sean Markham will explain how VTT can support Employers with talent attraction, including its latest initiates, and ways you can engage with VTT 
  • Charlotte Littlewood, Chairperson Taranaki Regional Council, will share emerging findings of research she’s conducted for the Taranaki Workforce Development Network, and lead a discussion about how the workforce development ecosystem could better work in Taranaki 
  • Mobile Relocation’s Bridget Romanes will share her experiences about resettlement and recruitment support, and the resources Mobile Relocation offers
  • ABMM’s Philip McCarthy will revisit the Accredited Employer Work Visa scheme, including navigating the latest developments and recent changes to the AEWV programme, and other topical updates

Presenter Details

Charlotte Littlewood

Charlotte is an independent consultant undertaking research for the Taranaki Workforce Development Network. She currently Co-Chairs the Taranaki Skills Group, was a Co-Chair of the Taranaki Regional Skills Leadership Group up to January, and a former member of the WITT Council and Board. She also is the Chair of the Taranaki Regional Council and a director of Port Taranaki, where she chairs the Health, Safety and Environment Committee.

Sean Markham

Sean is the Talent Advisor at Te Puna Umanga / Venture Taranaki, he engages with employers and education providers throughout the Taranaki Region about regional talent and skills initiatives. Through his work at Venture Taranaki, Sean has had direct involvement in development of tools and resources which VTT offers to employers, and people interested in relocating to Taranaki, including the Taranaki Lifestyle Toolkit. He also helps lead the Taranaki Workforce Development Network, is a Trustee on the Taranaki Careers and Training Expo and helps lead a group of International Education providers through the brand Study Taranaki.

Philip McCarthy

Philip co-leads local law firm, Auld Brewer Mazengarb & McEwen’s employment and dispute resolution team. Phil has previously been involved in immigration law teams at the Department of Labour (now MBIE) and in the UK, and through this has built a wealth of experience in immigration law and policy. He advises both employers, and migrants about a range of immigration matters.

Bridget Romanes

Bridget is a global mobility practitioner and strategist, with a background as a diplomat, expat, communicator and analyst who has spent many years living and working internationally. She founded Mobile Relocation in 2016. Partnering with New Zealand and international businesses, Bridget and her team at Mobile provide specialist services to recruit, resettle, retain and develop the international talent on which the New Zealand economy depends.
