Terms and Conditions
Membership
HRNZ membership is individual. Your membership remains with you, regardless of your employment or who funds your membership unless you are part of an "Organisation Package".
The Membership Year is 12 months from the date of payment for your application or renewal with Membership fees for new members due at time of your application (unless you are an existing member paying by monthly Automatic Payment - note that monthly payment option is not available to new members). Members are emailed an invoice for their 12 month membership, 1 month prior to their renewal date and is payable by members within one month of invoicing.
The Membership will automatically renew annually and a reminder email will be sent out prior to the renewal.
For Student Membership, evidence of current full or part time study is required showing the name of your institution, the name of your course, and the amount of EFTS. An example would be an Enrolment Confirmation Letter.
For Graduate Membership, evidence of graduation date and qualification is required e.g. graduation certificate.
It is your responsibility to keep HRNZ informed of any changes of address and other contact information.
Resignation
A member may resign their membership by notifying HRNZ in writing by email to [email protected] or by selecting ‘I do not wish to renew my membership’ upon login to their account. Please refer to the Institute's Constitution for details.
Monthly Members only - if any monies are due to HRNZ at date of resignation, they remain payable.
To avoid being invoiced for the next membership year please submit your resignation or select ‘I do not wish to renew my membership’ upon login ideally no later than the month before your renewal month, as invoices are automatically generated 1 month prior to your renewal date for the following membership year. For resignations during the term of membership, there are no partial refunds.
Branch Events
By registering for a Branch Event, attendees agree to attend the event, and pay the registration fee prior to the commencement of the event.
- The ‘Member’ registration fees apply only to those attendees who are current financial members of HRNZ at the time of the event.
- Where the attendee ceases to be a financial member of HRNZ at the time that the event is held, the attendee will automatically be invoiced for the difference between the member and non-member rate, and must make payment prior to attending the course.
- If a HRNZ member registers a non-member at the member rate, the member will be invoiced the difference between the member and non-member registration fee
- If the attendee’s organisation is meeting the cost of registration fee, the organisation will be liable for any outstanding costs regardless.
Cancellations
To receive a full refund, cancellations must be received by HRNZ Regional Events Manager by email [email protected] more than two working days before the day of the event. Cancellations after this time and/or 'no shows' on the day will be payable in full. Substitutions are welcome - please email [email protected] with their details.
