New Māori HR awards - Mana Tāngata
HRNZ is excited to announce the launch of the Mana Tāngata Awards, as part of the 2022 NZ HR Awards. These awards are designed to celebrate and recognise the important work being undertaken by individuals, teams and organisations of bringing a Te Ao Māori lens to their mahi.
We are looking for talented people, teams or organisations who are demonstrating a commitment to bringing and having bicultural view on HR practices. We want to recognise the hard work of people uplifting tāngata whenua and supporting better and more equitable outcomes for Māori in the workplace. Applications are now open for:
- Emerging Māori HR Award – Recognising someone who is on the journey to incorporate bicultural HR practice(s).
- Leader Māori HR Award – Recognising someone demonstrating excellence in the enactment of tikanga Māori-based HR practice(s).
Recommended for individuals/organisations who have started the journey of integrating Māori cultural values into their practices including HRM policies. Entry into this Award category does not require demonstration of a fully completed programme implementation. This category will suit those who have started their programmes and reached a significant milestone.
Recommended for individuals/organisations who have implemented significant programmes over a period of time that involve integrating Māori cultural values and tikanga into their practices including HRM policies. Entry into this Award category requires demonstration of tangible improvement in outcomes for Māori in the workplace.
