Lara Prentice

Lara has worked in a variety of organisations from travel, FMCG and tertiary at The University of Auckland before moving to Les Mills New Zealand 7 years ago in 2017 to take on the National People & Performance Manager. She was appointed Head of People and Performance at Les Mills NZ in 2021. 

Lara spent 10 years in the travel industry leading teams and doing a lot of people related roles before transiting to a ‘true’ HR career. As a result of her strong operational background, Lara take’s a pragmatic approach to HR initiatives to ensure they are well received and supported by the business and always have a customer centric lens. Lara is a big believer that the key to success for any people team is building trust and collaborating with key stakeholders at every step of the way. People teams should always be able to demonstrate how their people initiatives and deliverables will be measured and how they support the businesses strategic goals.
