The role 
As the Head of People Performance, you will provide leadership to our People Operations and Business Partnering team, managing all generalist HR matters, including payroll, performance management, recruitment, and employment relations. You will also oversee our HR (ELMO) System, MyAlpine, ensuring it aligns with our strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement consistent HR policies and strategies related to remuneration, retention, performance management, and succession planning.
  • Team Management: Lead a team of four direct reports, ensuring high-quality, efficient service delivery while operating within approved budgets.
  • Coaching & Support: Advise and coach managers on people matters, fostering an empowered and engaged workforce.
  • Cultural Stewardship: Enhance and promote a positive workplace culture aligned with our values, driving employee engagement and retention.
  • Talent Acquisition: Develop and execute a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy, partnering with line managers to attract and retain top talent.
  • Performance Management: Oversee performance appraisal processes, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives and providing coaching as needed.
  • Employee Relations: Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including union officials and industry groups.

What you’ll need 

  • Proven experience in a senior HR role, with a strong understanding of HR policies, practices, and employment law.
  • Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with a focus on building strong, collaborative teams.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a demonstrated capacity to align HR initiatives with business goals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering trust and positive relationships at all levels of the organization.
