Port Nelson has an amazing opportunity for an experienced and motivated HR professional to join their team as a trusted advisor to provide expertise and support to their diverse and dynamic operation. With over 290 employees working across a range of operational areas the scope and scale of this role is broad and interesting, 

This role is part of a committed and supportive People and Safety team who are the first port of call for all things People. You will take ownership of providing high-quality advice in the areas of performance development and management, training and development, remuneration, employment relations and industrial relations. You will also advise and partner with leaders in a range of complex organisational and employee relation issues. 

To be successful you will naturally build credibility, engage and influence at all levels and have a flexible and collaborative approach. Well organised and with fantastic communication you will have a relevant qualification and proven experience in a HR role, preferably in a unionised environment. With a good eye for detail and a commitment to getting things right you’ll thrive on solving problems and have drive, passion and loads of initiative to really understand the business and the people.
