What led you to a career in HR/ the position that you are in currently?

With a genuine care and interest in people and their motivations, I wanted to choose a career where I could potentially make a difference in people's lives. As people spend alot of their lives at work, I decided this was an opportunity to help people enjoy themselves at work as well as help businesses get the most out of their people. 

 

What do you love about working in HR?

I love partnering with business leaders to get the best out of their people and equally enjoy watching people grow and thrive in their roles, as well as love what they do. 

 

What is a career achievement/ highlight that you are particularly proud of?

Although it was a while ago now, I think it probably still is that I was able to secure a part-time HR job while I was studying, as it really brought my studies to life. 

 

What are your thoughts on the Emerging Professional Member process?

It's a simple and straightforward process that rewards HR professionals for the learning, development and continual upskilling they are committed to, as part of their everyday roles. 

 

Do you plan to now work towards becoming a Chartered Member?

Yes definitely, it's so great to see our industry offer this and get the recognition they deserve.

 

What are your next steps in terms of your career?

Would like to continue to grow and learn and eventually move into a HR leadership position further down the
