This webinar is to hear guidance on recruiting Health & Safety (H&S) professionals. We'll hear different perspectives from our panel - Bronwyn Presland from HASANZ, who will share a useful Guide for Recruiters and Managers; Alison Gill, Managing Director from Specialist Recruitment Agency edenfx HSE, who will share her and her teams experience recruiting HSE people over the last 15 years; and Debbie Bridge who is part of the Govt H&S Lead.

Health and Safety (H&S) professionals work to promote and protect the health, safety and
wellbeing of people at work using a mix of core technical competencies and interpersonal skills. This session will help us understand how we can recruit for these professionals and support their career development.

Bronwyn Presland

Bronwyn is strongly committed to achieving a healthier, safer working environment that reduces physical and psychological harm. As the Executive Director of the Health and Safety Association New Zealand (HASANZ) she works to support health and safety professionals and businesses to improve their capability and capacity. Motivated by doing social good, Bronwyn has a background in advocacy, public affairs and project management.

Debbie Bridge

Requirements across the 39 public service agencies. Debbie runs the Health, Safety and Wellbeing summer internship programme every year and this programme was awarded the leadership category award in 2021 at the Safeguard National Health and Safety Awards. She believes that health, safety, and wellbeing affect everyone and its important to protect our workers from physical and psychological harm so they can thrive not survive.
