Barbara Daxenberger, People and Culture Director, Tonkin + Taylor
Barbara is a leader in people and culture and a proponent of improving and humanising the workplace. She is enthusiastic about creating workplaces where we can all belong, prosper, and create. She does this by utilising the most recent research and best practises in psychology, neuroscience, and coaching.
Her exposure to various cultures and countries while living and working (including Germany, Switzerland, Singapore, Canada, the United Arab Emirates, Australia, and New Zealand) as well as her interest in human behaviour both individually and in groups have inspired her to concentrate on developing team cultures where everyone can constantly strive to be a better version of themselves.
Barbara, who holds degrees in psychology, human resource management, and mathematics, is the People and Culture Director for Tonkin + Taylor in Auckland, where she leads a team of 20+ HR professionals. She also oversees the Culture First Auckland chapter, a network of professionals focused on improving workplace culture.
Barbara likes to spend her leisure time outside, reading, surfing, trail running, and hiking.
