About

Port Marlborough is a values driven, progressive port and marina business operating in Picton, Havelock and the wider Marlborough Sounds. Environmental leadership, preventing harm, valuing the accomplishments of their people and engaging with communities are top priorities. With over 120 employees working across a range of business areas and exciting initiatives on the go from their newly developed People Strategy, this is a great time to join their team.

Port Marlborough have an amazing opportunity for an experienced and motivated HR professional to support the People & Culture team in delivering initiatives that enhance employee engagement, organisational development, and workforce planning.

The Role

Reporting to the General Manager - People & Culture, you will be a trusted advisor to people leaders, providing expert guidance on employment and industrial relations, performance management, organisational development and recruitment. You will also be key in supporting cultural, wellbeing and diversity initiatives, workforce planning, and implementing the People Strategy.

To be successful in this role, you will have proven experience in an HR role, ideally in an operational and/or unionised environment. If you’re looking for a fresh challenge and the opportunity to contribute to a growing organisation that values its people and is committed to sustainability and community, then this could be the next step in your career that you’ve been looking for.

Port Marlborough is committed to providing a safe working environment and will undertake a pre-employment medical assessment including drug and alcohol screening.
Applications close Friday 28th February.
