Blueprint for Learning
About
Blueprint for Learning is one of New Zealand’s largest training providers in mental health, wellbeing and addiction. Since 2008, Blueprint has run workshops for over 50,000 people across Aotearoa. Here is what makes us different:
Bringing together lived and clinical experience
Our unique co-facilitation model brings together two facilitators. One brings their own life experience of mental health and/or addiction challenges and recovery, and the other is a registered mental health or addiction professional.
Their combined expertise and experience mean each workshop is based on an in-depth, holistic understanding of mental health and addiction challenges experienced by people in communities and workplaces. Participants get the benefit of clinical experience and hearing real-life stories of the facilitator’s experience of mental health or addiction challenges.
Workshop content that’s locally created
Our workshops are all developed in Aotearoa for New Zealanders. We develop our workshops in-house, with local experts, including our own facilitators. You’ll hear stories and research from Aotearoa and encounter scenarios that could be from your community. This ensures the workshops are relatable and relevant to people in our communities and workplaces.
Like our workshop participants, our facilitators reflect our communities across Aotearoa, bringing diverse life experiences, cultures, and skills to their role.
Use of Te Whare Tapa Whā
All of our workshops use the Māori health model, Te Whare Tapa Whā. Developed by Sir Mason Durie in 1984, Te Whare Tapa Whā looks at health and wellbeing as the four walls of a wharenui/meeting house. This means we take an in-depth, holistic approach to understanding mental health, addiction, and wellbeing.
Evidence based with a culture of self-improvement
We have a Category 1 External Evaluation and Review (EER) rating in education achievement and self-assessment issued by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA). As such, we undergo consistent cycles of reviewing our content and including the last evidence-based research.
All organisations who purchase our workshops will receive reporting which details participant feedback and commentary. You’ll also benefit from a dedicated relationship manager and logistical coordinators who set up over 400 workshops a year around the country.

Off the shelf, but we can customize workshops for organisations. Please be in touch with us if you are interested in this.
We can implement a workshop with 4 weeks notice. With customisation we would need 12 weeks notice.
What is your post-implementation support? Are there costs to this or is the up-front cost inclusive of additional support?
We will handle all logistical matters with any workshop from end to end. This is included in the cost.
After a workshop or workshops are completed, we will provide organisations with a report that summarizes qualitative and quantitative feedback from participants. We will also meet with organisations to discuss this feedback in detail. This service is included at no extra cost.
Would you be able to provide example customers/ organisations who would be willing to allow site-visits for potential customers to view a demonstration of the product or service in action?
Our workshops are safe spaces which promote honest and open discussion, so for that reason we are not in the space of inviting potential customers into existing workshops.
