Describe your product or service and what it delivers:

Employment Hero is the world’s leading HR, payroll, recruitment and employee engagement platform. From HR administration, to managed services, to hiring and retention tools, Employment Hero’s secure cloud platform is designed for busy SMEs to streamline their HR and payroll processes. Employment Hero operates in Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Singapore and Malaysia.


What size business or organisation does your product/ service suit?

We work with customers primarily in the SMB sector (10-200 employees), though we do also have many customers that are 200-800 employees. As we are an all-in-one software with exceptional functionality that sets us apart from most HRIS in the market, we are well-suited for most industries. We are especially strong in: care and NDIS, hospitality, retail, construction, healthcare and more.


What kinds of organisations may be interested in your product/ service?

Our target audience is SMBs, as well as mid-market organisations (due to our scalability). We also work with specific groups such as accountants, bookkeepers, HR consultants and advisors who provide outsourced services - as we have a robust referral partner program.

How long has your product/ service been on the market?

Employment Hero was founded in 2014 in Australia, and expanded into New Zealand in 2019. Since then, we’ve also grown into Singapore, Malaysia and the United Kingdom - achieving 100% You growth and reaching unicorn status in 2022. We now have over 300,000 businesses on the platform, more than 2 million active users and $25 million invested into research and development each year.


What does your standard product cost?

Pricing can be found here. Our basic HR product (Hiring Essentials) costs $0 per month, whilst our standard HR product (HR Premium) costs $10 per month. Our basic payroll product (Payroll Essentials) costs $2 per month, whilst our standard Payroll product (Payroll Standard) costs $4 per month. This pricing is updated as at 27 May 2024 and conditions apply.


Are there annual licensing costs? How are these structured?

Pricing can be found here. Our subscriptions run on a monthly basis and include a per employee, per month cost. We offer tiered pricing packages depending on the user’s requirements, with solutions for HR, Payroll and Global Teams


Is your product an off the shelf solution, or does it require customisation?

Employment Hero is an off-the-shelf solution that’s well-suited for businesses who are time-poor and looking for a quick, easy to implement, and intuitive platform. We offer varying levels of customisation and configuration that can be adapted to suit more complex business needs - so we offer both options, depending on the user requirements.


How long does your product take to implement? How does customisation impact this?

It depends on the scope of implementation - this can be anywhere between 2 weeks and 3 months, and depends on factors such as employee size, types of employment agreements, and more. We offer different types of implementation support as well. There are additional costs involved, or it may be included in the upfront cost, depending on your pricing package and price / offer that was signed during onboarding.


What is your post-implementation support? Are there costs to this or is the up-front cost inclusive of additional support?

We have a comprehensive support team that handles all queries once onboarded. This is inclusive of your pricing package with Employment Hero. Our SLAs are 2 hours for urgent enquiries, 9 hours for high priority and 18 hours for normal priority.


Would you be able to provide example customers/ organisations who would be willing to allow site-visits for potential customers to view a demonstration of the product or service in action?
