We are pleased to present our inaugural webinar of HRM Musings – our virtual webinar series - where we will delve into the alignment of HR-specific knowledge and skills taught in our higher education programmes with the demands of the workplace. Our goals are to strengthen educational capabilities in the Pacific and bridge the gap between academia and practice.

In this inaugural webinar, our panellists and moderator will explore the importance of cultural and contextual considerations in HR practice and education across the South Pacific region. We will discuss whether our predominantly Western-centric HR knowledge applies to our Pacific neighbours and what we can learn from indigenous perspectives, particularly within Aotearoa New Zealand. This webinar is designed to bring together academics, HR practitioners, and students to collaborate on shaping the future of HR qualifications.
