Developing a Sustainability Toolbox
News Member Updates
HRNZ, in conjunction with Bridget Williams from Bead + Proceed are developing a Sustainability Toolbox for HR professionals. This Toolbox will be a helpful resource for HRNZ Members to better understand how they can effectively weave more sustainable practices through their organisations and kick-start their commitment to the SDGs.
In the Sustainability Toolbox, we want to include a range of case studies and examples of organisations and businesses who are specifically working towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that HRNZ has aligned to:
- SDG 3: Good Health and Wellbeing
- SDG 4: Quality Education
- SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth
- SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities
- SDG 12: Responsible Consumption
- SDG 13: Climate Action
We’re specifically looking for projects, initiatives, or active changes that organisations have made or started to make impact in these areas.
For example, how is an organisation creating equality for all in the workplace or what policies or strategies have they included to reduce the gender pay gap? Perhaps your organisation has implemented a tree planting programme with a local tree nursery to combat CO2 emissions?
If you are one of these awesome organisations displaying and actioning real sustainable impact please let us know. These examples will then be shared in the Toolbox to serve as inspiration for the HRNZ Members.
It’s also a great way to recognise and celebrate your incredible mahi and hopefully, grow more sustainable impact throughout Aotearoa.
If you are keen to share your examples, please fill out this survey.
Please share this with any of your networks you who know are acting towards these specific goals.
