Recent event
Grateful thanks to National President, Denise Hartley-Wilkins for her valuable insights on HRNZ’s main focuses for 2020, particularly a strong emphasis on HR Students, Chartered Memberships and Inclusion. Those that were able to attend were invited to provide ideas and suggestions as to how to get the most out of their HRNZ membership. We also learned more about HRNZ Corporate Memberships and the changes coming to the Student section of the HRNZ website – much to look forward to in 2020! Special thanks to Otago University for hosting this event.

Upcoming events
On 10 March 2020, we are hosting a café for those interested in becoming Chartered members of HRNZ. It is being held at 12.30 until 2pm at Platinum Recruitment facilitated by Elena Calvert, Former Otago Branch President and a recently awarded Chartered Member – congratulations Elena!  Spaces are limited to 10 attendees so register today if you are interested.  We also invite you to join our LinkedIn group for members to ask questions, share ideas and encourage each other with their applications – ‘HRNZ Otago branch – Chartered Members group’.

On 17 March 2020, we will hear from Speaker, Facilitator and Mentor (and Otago Branch Committee Member)  Callum McKirdy on HR from the edge of the bell-curve to learn how we can unlock “hidden/dormant talent in our organisations.” We look forward to seeing you at 5:30pm, at Petridish on Stafford Street. This event is FREE to HRNZ student members, so be sure to register today!
