Waikato Branch Quiz Night

"If you're in it to win it, you're here for the wrong reason!", I heard someone say before the quiz night had even kicked off. That certainly sounded to me like the 40 or so HRINZ members that had decided to join us, were there to have fun.
This was the first quiz night held by the Waikato Branch to finish off 2018 and the location was the Speights Bar. We had a room to ourselves, the catering platters hardly hit the table before they were empty and everyone had a voucher for a free drink.
Tompkins Wake had sponsored the event, so it was free to members and being held on a Wednesday evening, 21 November at the end of a working day, didn't seem to make our members hesitate, hence the excellent turnout.
We had several prizes to give out, from full Christmas hampers to bottles of wine as well as boxes of biscuits. The team must have done a good job of choosing the right questions, not too hard and not too easy and the quiz master did a great job of keeping people amused. The event was a sure success.
